WHO IS MARSHMELLO?
In 2019 there was a lot of speculation around who was behind the anonymous pop icon, Marshmello. He had such an enormous digital presence beyond music and it made us pose the question – why is this silent sensation dominating our culture?
It’s Way Bigger
We used the film to chronicle Mello’s rise to superstardom and explain how much of an impact he has on international cultures around the globe. Stylistically, we designed a full CGI sequence that showed this anonymous figure being created in a laboratory setting. It helped preserve the character’s mystery while also symbolizing how his anonymity is actually a means of representing everyone.
