A NEW APPROACH TO THE PLATFORM
When Spotify began integrating video into their platform, they tapped us to create short films for RapCaviar – their most popular hip-hop playlist.
STYLIZED STORYTELLING
We created a series of short documentaries that profiled rising and established artists. From mixed-media to animated sequences, each film featured unique storytelling devices.
Our documentaries gathered some of the highest viewership on the platform at the time and marked the beginning of our multi-year partnership with Spotify.

DAMIAN LILLARD
A profile of NBA superstar Damian Lillard, highlighting how his hometown roots shaped both the musician and basketball player he has become today. Born and raised in Oakland, California, Lillard’s journey is one of resilience, determination, and an unwavering commitment to his craft—both on the court and in the recording studio. Oakland, a city known for producing some of the toughest and most talented athletes, played a crucial role in shaping Lillard’s mentality and approach to the game. His blue-collar work ethic, fearless leadership, and clutch performances are direct reflections of the environment that raised him. But Lillard’s connection to his hometown extends beyond basketball; it’s woven into his music as well. Under the stage name Dame D.O.L.L.A., he has used hip-hop as a platform to share his story, staying true to his roots while carving out a respected lane in the music industry.
THE JHERI CURL
This project is a deep dive into the history and cultural significance of the Jheri Curl, a hairstyle that became an iconic symbol of self-expression and style in the 1980s. More than just a trend, the Jheri Curl played a pivotal role in shaping the aesthetics of hip-hop culture, influencing artists, music videos, and fashion during a transformative era. The Jheri Curl was worn by some of the most legendary figures in hip-hop and R&B, reflecting a time when Black artists were redefining mainstream culture. Its presence in album covers, music videos, and films of the era cemented its legacy as more than just a hairstyle—it was a statement. The glossy, curled look became synonymous with success, innovation, and a new wave of confidence in Black identity.

But behind every artist is a community—a network of family, friends, producers, and collaborators. This profile focuses on the world around Lil Gotit, the environment that fueled his rise, and the people who continue to push Atlanta’s rap scene forward. From the streets of South Atlanta to the studios where a new generation of talent is cultivated, Lil Gotit’s story is deeply tied to the culture that surrounds him.
